What is Wildwood Ballet’s mission? Our mission is to provide dance opportunities that open up new worlds where students can discover their own voice in a safe, creative studio setting and a place to express faith in God.
Where is Wildwood Ballet located? We are located at Wildwood Church, on the corner of Meridian Road and Ox Bottom Road: 100 Ox Bottom Road, Tallahassee, FL 32312
What are your fees? There is a $30.00 registration fee for new students. Monthly tuition, and costume fee are dependent on the classes you register for. You can find the Fee Schedule here.
When do classes start? Classes for the 2024-2025 dance year will start the week of August 12th. Spring semester starts the week of January 6th.
What are your class holidays? Our holidays are Labor Day (September 1st), Fall Break (November 25th-29th), Winter Break (December 16th-January 6th), MLK Day (January 20th), Spring Break (March 10th-13th). No classes and offices will be closed on these dates. We still hold classes for teacher planning days.
What are your class sizes? Our class sizes are 10-12 students per class with a minimum of 5 students. Classes that do not meet the 5-student minimum will be closed and students will receive other class options.
What is the earliest age my dancer can start? We have classes for dancers starting as early as age 3. We ask that your dancer is fully potty trained.
How do I know what class to enroll my dancer in? Our Lower Division classes are based on age and open to students ages 3-7. Our Upper Division classes are based on a student's skill level and teacher evaluation for students ages 8 and above.
How long does your dance year run? Our classes run from August 12th-May. Our spring recital is May 2nd/3rd.
When are your recitals? The dates are TBD.
What should my dancer wear to classes? Please see our dance attire requirements here.
Can my dancer try out a class before enrolling? Yes, your dancer may try out a class and the teacher and director will decide if the class is a good fit for your dancer. To schedule a trial class go to registration and click the link under the class title for a trial class.
How do I pay my tuition? Payment can be made online through our parent portal.
How do I register? You can register here.
Can I watch my student’s class? We do not allow parents in the classroom during class time. Some of our classrooms have a window that you can peek in to see your dancer.

Showing respect for the art of dance:
Always endeavor to put your best effort into class
Being on time for class
Wearing appropriate dance attire
Taking the commitment to dance seriously and limiting absences to those necessary
Looking neat and orderly for class with tights inside shoes, hair pulled neatly back in a bun, shoe strings tucked into ballet shoes, and underwear and bra straps hidden.
Showing respect for the studios and waiting room
Leave gum, food, and drinks outside. Only water is allowed in the studios.
Do not hang on the barres.
No running through the studios, lobby or hallways unless directed by the instructor.
Always clean up and dispose of trash.
Put away all books, magazines and/or toys back where they belong.
Showing respect for the dance instructor
Listen carefully to instructions given.
Raise hand before speaking.
Inform the instructor of known absences.
Ask permission before leaving the studio for any reason.
If late, wait for the music to finish before entering the classroom.
Thank the instructor at the end of class

Keep hands to oneself and wait quietly
Do not speak negatively to or about another student at Wildwood Ballet

Etiquette for parents
Do not interrupt class while in progress unless absolutely necessary. If necessary, knock, before entering
Have student ready for class before they enter the classroom
Pickup students promptly after class.
